Full Course Lowdown
The Carnoustie Burnside Course is a kind and easygoing introduction to links golf compared to the Carnoustie Championship Course--but don't underestimate it.
Host of The Open qualifiers, it tests pros and amateurs with narrow fairways, classic links roughage, and cruel bunkers. Prepare for an action-packed round.
Course
Let's tee off with the 1st. This one eases you in, so make the most of it, start strong, and avoid the two bunkers for a successful opener. Simple.
The 4th is a highlight hole. This par-3 requires IQ and careful club selection to land near the pin.
Hole 9, another par-3 features an elevated green. If you miss the dancefloor from the tee, the approach is difficult, so be sure to hit the pin the first time!
On the 15th, the only par-5 on the course uses the undulated, earthy Scottish coastal terrain perfectly. It might be open, but swinging on this uneven ground is a challenge, even for the "pros".
To finish is a par-4 with the dancefloor reachable in one which means a possible eagle chance.
You read that right, big hitters! Focus on accuracy, avoid the right side with hazards, and celebrate your win.
Clubhouse
Head to The Rookery for an incredible 19th-hole experience. Soak up the history, grab your favourite beverage (ours is a malt whiskey), and discuss the action from the round.
If you won the round, treat yourself to the massive 35oz Tomahawk steak--it's what you deserve.Course Facilities
