Top hint for this course
For the 10th, on the 2nd stroke, aim just right of the left bunkers to set up a sweet approach shot.
Full Course Lowdown
The K Club South is overlooked because of the North course. But, hosting the European Open, the South is a premium round featuring many challenges and exciting fairways.
Combining links and inland characteristics, these fairways are like no other. How will you handle it? Organise a group, grab your clubs, and swing into action!
Course
Find the centre of the fairway from the tee box before carrying the bunkers guarding the dancefloor. Now, try not to three-putt…
On the 4th, a par-4, this fairway is harsh. Use a short iron to carry over the right-side bunkers, and land before the second set. For the approach, a sand wedge should do the trick.
At the end of the front nine, aim left of the first bunker to give yourself the easiest second stroke to hit the pin.
The 11th is a duffer's nightmare. Anything right or left is destined for the bunkers, so favour accuracy and layup before the final hazard.
We hope you have plenty of balls because you might lose some. After navigating the fairway like a pro, prepare for a nasty approach to an island green with bunkers.
Don't bottle it on the final hole!
Clubhouse
Palmer South Bar & Restaurant is incredible. The lively atmosphere, comfortable interior, and range of cocktails are everything you need after walking 18 holes.
It ticks every box, and if you make it between 11 am and 3 pm, indulge in a bottomless brunch. That's right, endless swing oil. Kick back and relax as you plan the evening.
How else would you end a round?

The Location
Stay and play at the K Club Hotel, where you can stroll to your tee time.
On-site is also the Palmer North course. The Ryder Cup was held here in 2006 and it also played host to the Irish Open in 2016 and 2023, and will hold it for 2025 and 2027, so be sure to play and follow in the footsteps of legends.
Dublin city centre is 30.9km from the resort.
Ireland's capital is iconic, with live music, authentic pubs, insane restaurants, and bouncing nightlife.
At 39.4km away is Dublin Airport, so it won't be long until you check in, drop off your luggage, and tee off on premium fairways. You can never play the first round too early…
