Top hint for this course
We've got a tip for you. On the 5th, this par-4 temps people to drive straight for the dancefloor, but the bunker often takes their ball. Instead, aim down the right of the fairway to avoid the bunker and set up a simple approach shot.
Full Course Lowdown
This stunning course is one of Dubai's best. Why? It's renowned for being immaculate, with world-class facilities and sublime views, it's a golfer's paradise.
It's received worldwide attention since opening and it's a frontrunner for tourists looking for the ultimate golf holiday. At nearly 7,000 yards, this whopping loop tests any player and water features throughout, which is rare for a desert course.
Course
Teeing off with the opener, a narrow par-4 with hazards scattered across the fairway tests your accuracy. Carry over the crystal blue water while avoiding the large bunker to the right and two bunkers to the left-a reasonable-sized green waits for your sweet approach shot.
The 6th is the signature hole. A par-4 with the tee box in the river demands carrying over the water and hitting the fairway. But wait, there's more water. If you didn't sink your ball (it happens to the best of us), then avoiding the water to the left of the fairway and landing on the green will earn some swing oil.
The 11th has large bunkers down the right of the fairway, so aiming slightly left should avoid these. If your drive was accurate, a chip shot over the end of the bunker should see you on the green and ready to putt.
The 17th is similar to the 6th, as your drive must carry over the water and land in the centre of the fairway. Landing just shy of the bunker will set you up nicely and give you the ultimate bragging rights.
Clubhouse
A typical Dubai-style clubhouse. End your round in a lavish bar with 10 different flat screens for sport and a perfect view of the course from the outdoor terrace.
This 19th hole is famous for sublime food from breakfast for the dawn patrol to dinner for those finishing later. So, sit back, catch up on your favourite sport, and enjoy the luxurious menu while you analyse the action from the round with the gang.
