Top hint for this course
On the 3rd, a 162-yard par-3, don't overhit from the tee box. As you're better off short, we recommend that you under-club and lay up short of the green.
Full Course Lowdown
Located on the Atlantic Bay, the natural terrain is an excellent challenge for golfers who love authentic links play. The bunkers are a great test for the links golf virgins and the seasoned pros.
Who wouldn't want to play on the "Irish St. Andrews"? Grab your clubs, get the squad together and swing into the action on a classic Northern Irish course.
Course
A cruel start with one of the longest holes on the course. In typical links fashion, the wind is the main hazard here, so select your club based on the wind's direction and prepare for a difficult journey to the pin.
Hole 6 should be interesting for the slicers of the group. With a road to the right, an out-of-bounds, favour the centre left of the fairway to avoid a penalty (or a car) and prepare for a lengthy second shot.
The end of the front nine features one of only two par-5s on the course, so now's the time to hit a scorcher off the tee box. This straightforward hole will allow you to relax before the inward stretch, as long as you avoid the left side bunkers and sink the putt.
Be sure to hit the dancefloor on the 13th. This par-3 is a test of shot weight and accuracy, with bunkers surrounding the green.
The 17th features a dogleg left and tests all abilities. Long hitters will thrive, as they can carry over the road in the middle and prepare for a short approach shot. If you don't slip up, a birdie is within reach. No pressure!
Clubhouse
A modern clubhouse with an excellent selection of beverages, light bites, and heart-warming classics to refuel after golf. If you're planning on hitting the town afterwards, this is a great place to start.
Relax in the easy going and laid-back atmosphere while you sip on a well-earned pint, count the scorecards, and prepare forfeits for the losers of the round.
