Top hint for this course
As you're doing all the booking, let's give you a secret to get ahead on your round. On the signature 6th, which is just over 110 yards, it may be tempting to hit the green from the tee-off, but the bunkers on either side of the green make this difficult. Use your first swing as a layup for an easy approach shot. Then, if your putting is on point, an easy par should be available.
Full Course Lowdown
It's somewhat of a hidden gem, located on the outskirts of Derby. Found in the luxurious Breadsall resort, this loop holds many surprises. Its undulated terrain separates it from your average golf course.
With different slopes and tiny greens, this will put the gang's IQ and accuracy to the test. Grab the squad and see who comes out on top at this state-of-the-art loop.
Course
Tee-off from the 1st is situated right in front of the car park, so you have an audience to impress (no pressure). A straightforward par-4 with a bunker to the front right of the green is the only hazard other than the two trees on either side halfway through the fairway.
At the end of the front nine, a severe dogleg right hides the green. Favouring the left of the fairway will make the green visible. But it will also reveal the bunkers surrounding it. Over-chipping your approach could see you taking another swing among the trees - so be careful.
On the 10th, the dogleg right is so sharp, that it's effectively a right angle. Aim towards the far-left corner of the fairway to set up a safer approach shot. Getting on the green should be easy. Then, let your short game do the talking.
