Top hint for this course
Here's a tip for the 11th. The harsh dogleg right protects the green, so favour the left with your tee shot and gain as much yardage as possible. Take caution with the approach, the dancefloor is guarded with bunkers.
Full Course Lowdown
One of Costa del Sol's most famous rounds. It's recognised as an unforgiving course, with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and testing greens.
It might be a slicer's worst nightmare, so favour accuracy from the tee box to find the fairways. While the course isn't the longest, it's not the easiest. Prepare for a testing round with the squad.
Course
On the 1st, a slight dogleg right complicates the start. Hit the middle of the fairway with your drive and under-club for the second shot. Anything overhit will be punished.
Hole 7, a par-3, has the river Ojen running along the right, so keep clear of this. A stream runs across the front of the dancefloor, so consider this when approaching from a distance. Who has the best judgment?
The 14th is a narrow par-4 with a well-guarded and undulated green. Show off your drive distance and gain some yardage-but take care of the difficult approach shot.
On the final hole, it doesn't ease up. A lake along the right, and trees along the left, the tee shot is pretty harsh. The second shot demands accuracy, and the elevated green makes this difficult. Keep composed, sink the putt, and begin the celebrations.
Clubhouse
A classic Mediterranean 19th. You can soak up the vitamin D on the outdoor seating while tucking into authentic cuisine made with local ingredients. And to wash it back, you have to try the local wine.

The Location
Santana Golf Course is located in Mijas, near Malaga, so you're only 31km from the course when you land at Malaga Airport.
The local area is pretty secluded, but just a five-minute drive away are a handful of hotels suitable for all groups. It'll be a doddle sorting accommodation.
Head to La Cala de Mijas, 6.7km away from the course, for swanky cocktail joints, insane restaurants, and Playa La Cala.
Dotted along the local beach are plenty of restaurants and beach clubs, so you can keep the swing oil flowing after the clubhouse.
