Full Course Lowdown

Old Head Links ranks highly in the Top 100 Courses in the UK & Ireland. The course's unmatched scenery alone justifies the ranking, plus, the course features six tees on each hole, making it accessible for all skill levels.

Old Head also features comprehensive facilities to loosen up and a world-class clubhouse with a cosy bar, an outdoor terrace, and an incredible menu to indulge in after breaking 100.

Located on the south coast of Ireland, Old Head Golf Links guarantees one of the most authentic links experiences with the natural terrain and coastal weather affecting play.

Course

The opening hole overlooks the Atlantic, with a sweeping fairway towards the ocean. At 446 yards, use your driver down the left side to cover the distance and give yourself the easiest approach shot.

Hole 7, a par-3, is an absolute nightmare for mid and high-handicappers with a bunker at the front and gorse surrounding the dancefloor.

Try to hit the green in one, as any chip shot around the dancefloor could add a few to the scorecard.

Now, for the signature hole. This is played on a cliff edge with a harsh dogleg left so you might lose a few balls here. Your second stroke is a narrow approach to an undulated green.

Clubhouse

It wouldn't be a trip to Cornwall if you didn't try some of Ireland's finest and freshest seafood.

That's right, this five-star restaurant is the ultimate 19th hole. After sinking the winning putt, pick your lobster straight from the tank and enjoy the impressive wine selection.

If you're lucky with the weather, the terrace overlooks the fairways and the Atlantic Ocean--the perfect backdrop while you sip your favourite pint or cocktail.
