Full Course Lowdown
Often overlooked, at no fault of its own, the Derby Course is a world-class course that requires careful thought, great IQ, and intelligent navigation to succeed. While many opt for the two neighbouring loops, you'd be missing out if you passed on this round.
The other two courses cater to the lower handicapped, whereas the Derby Course allows all abilities to enjoy the thrills and challenges of its fairways.
Course
The 2nd has bunkers placed awkwardly on either side of the fairway in the middle. An accurate drive should avoid these and allow for a relatively easy approach towards the dancefloor if you favour the right on the second shot.
On the 7th, a par-3, the narrow fairway demands accuracy from the tee. Avoid the left side of the dancefloor to steer clear of the sand.
A sharp dogleg right hides the green on the 10th. Left of the initial bunker should cut the angle and allow for the easiest attempt at the pin.
The finisher has a harshly narrow fairway. Accurately clear the yardage down the middle and hit the centre of the green for a smooth finish. The beer will taste sweet at the 19th after that performance.
Clubhouse
A wide range of craft beers, a massive TV for live sports, a buzzing atmosphere, and seriously impressive food to refuel. What this place doesn't have, isn't worth having.
The perfect arena to dissect the action from the round, make jabs at each other's game and prepare for the antics for the evening.

The Location
A prime golf holiday location. Surrounded by three of England's best fairways and on the grounds of luxurious accommodation, what more could you need? It ticks every box.
Birmingham city centre is just 11.9 miles from the course, and it never fails to impress. Staying and partying in England's second capital city will top it all off. You've played one of England's best tracks, now it's time to dance the night away in one of England's best cities.
