Top hint for this course
Let's spill some knowledge on the course. The signature 18th hole is a par-5 that's reachable in two strokes. While it's a risk, aim to the left carrying over the bunkers to set up the sweetest approach shot from the second swing. If your short game is on point, you're in for a birdie.
Full Course Lowdown
While Arden is a championship course, Aylesford is a hidden gem that provides the group of mixed handicaps a chance to compete on a world-class loop.
The competition will be fierce, but all will be forgotten over a pint at the clubhouse. Get stuck into this one and see who's the champ.
Course
Starting with the 1st, a par-4 with bunkers on either side of the dancefloor lays at the end. You can reach the green easily with a firm tee-off, followed by a careful approach.
The 3rd is a clear favourite for big hitters, as the fairway is begging for some scorchers. A nice straightforward drive should see you land firmly next to the green.
The 8th is a short par-4 that's reachable in one stroke for the big swingers, but it's not advisable to try this. Three bunkers lay in front and at the left side of the green, so a sensible approach would be to drive down the right of the fairway for a clear approach shot.
On the 11th, it's another great example of carefully placed bunkers that make you question the decision of going for the green from tee-off. The 15th has isolated trees preventing a clear drive towards the green. So, aim toward the left of the fairway to set up the easiest approach shot.
Clubhouse
This 19th hole is the perfect place to relax with a pint in hand, count up your scorecards and spend some of that bet money you won out on the loop. The menu will cure everybody's cravings, whether they're looking for British clubhouse classics, or something different from the international menu.
A great chance to pre-drink before you hit the town and reward yourself for that blinder of a performance.
