Top hint for this course

Let's give a top tip to boss the course and get ahead . The 2nd hole has a dogleg left, hiding the green. Driving slightly to the left, just avoiding the trees on the left and the bunkers to the right, should put the dancefloor within an approach shot. Driving too far right could see you land in the bunkers or hit the out-of-bounds.

Full Course Lowdown

Not just your average course. Hosting two international tournaments and being located on one of the top golf resorts in the UK, its reputation is monumental. The wide fairways and straightforward playability for advanced golfers attract people nationwide.

If you think you can cut the mustard and follow in the footsteps of the pros, why not play your own English Open?

Course

The opening hole will have you questioning your abilities. Three bunkers crowd the middle of the fairway, and three bunkers surround the green. It's a test of your accuracy, can you handle it?

The 3rd has a difficult dogleg left with a lake cutting the middle. On the other side, a puddle and six bunkers protect the green (we didn't say it would be easy).

The end of the front nine tees off surrounded by a lake, so avoiding the water hazard and the narrow row of trees makes for a difficult drive onto the fairway. The second half of the hole is straightforward. You can relax a little.

The 13th is a nightmare for lumberjacks. Isolated trees block the fairway, so they won't even need to shank it to hit some bark. Mounds halfway through the fairway, and some bunkers to the right of the dancefloor make this an excellent hole to challenge everybody.

Clubhouse

This clubhouse provides everything from your classics to internationally-inspired cuisine that will satisfy everybody. Chase this up with some local ales but save yourself for hitting the town later.

Get comfortable, sip your pint, and mock the friend who kept drowning his ball. While you count off the scorecards, figure out who's due a forfeit for hitting the bunker the most. Was it you? It happens to the best of us.
