Full Course Lowdown

A golf history buff's dream. Royal Belfast Golf Club is Ireland's oldest and best parkland course, and boasts many awards from some of golf's biggest publishers.

Best of all, this course is accessible for all abilities, testing accuracy, and club selection with plenty of hazards.

Designed by the legendary H. S. Colt, it guarantees world-class playability. Are you ready to tick this Colt classic off your bucket list?

Course

The 4th will put your practice hours to the test. As the shortest par-3, at 142 yards, anything that avoids the four bunkers around the green is spot-on. Don't be disappointed with a par.

At the end of the front nine, you've got one hell of a tricky tee shot, with water to the left and trees to the right. Aim slightly left to reach the green in two.

Hole 17 is a downhill par-3. Although it's 195 yards from the back tee, it plays shorter, so under-club to avoid hitting the trees at the back--don't be a lumberjack.

Our tip is to use the slope to your advantage and enter from the front of the green.

Clubhouse

Clubhouse? Nah, try Manor House. Take your 19th experience to the next level in the winner of the Golfer's Guide to Ireland Clubhouse of the Year 2024. It's everything the crew deserves.

Refuel with prawns, sourdough toasties, smash burgers, cheese selections, curry or steak and share a bottle from the impressive wine menu.

Legendary.

The Location

Just on the outskirts of the Northern Ireland capital, this club's location is ideal for the gang's Belfast golf trip.

George Best Belfast City Airport is only 5.2 miles away, so you could tee off within an hour of landing and get into the swing of things.

Belfast City Centre is 8.1 miles away and boasts plenty of accommodation for all budgets.

On top of this, Belfast is absolutely thriving. With authentic Irish pubs, popular restaurants, buzzing nightclubs, and of course, Guinness, your downtime will be anything but boring.

Not to mention the rich history of music and the Titanic.

The weather is pretty similar to England's, so pack extra layers if you're heading out there in the winter months and prepare for spontaneous rain in the summer.
