Full Course Lowdown
Known as the "sleeping giant", the undulating fairways, large dunes, and harsh bunkers will test even the scratch golfers. You will need to bring your A-game to conquer this one.
Portstewart Golf Club is found on the coast of Northern Ireland, and links golf doesn't get more authentic than that. It's also just 32.7 miles from Londonderry, which is ideal for exploring in your downtime.
Course
On the opener, a 427-yard par-4, a dogleg plays towards the sea, so consider the accuracy of your drive off the elevated tee. This is one of the harshest opening tees in golf. Good luck!
Now, a par-3 at 218 yards. It's fair to say this dancefloor is a nightmare, with roll-offs, a bunker to the right, and one hell of a quick surface--prepare to put your short game to the test.
Hole 15 is the final par-3 of the round, with a well-guarded bunker. Behind the green is a stand for tournaments, but don't worry, there won't be a crowd to watch you miss the green…
Clubhouse
Visit the same 19th hole where Jon Rahm enjoyed a glass of malt. Portstewart's Clubhouse is famous for quality pints of Guinness and local whiskies to accompany your recovery meal.
On top of this, prepare for some top-tier scran at the award-winning Eighteen Ninety-Four Restaurant and soak up the incredible views of the beach and links.
Whether you fancy a steak or a sweet treat after your round, the experience in this 19th hole is unmatched.

The Location
On the Portstewart Strand, typical of most links courses, the wind can be harsh, so pack for these conditions and come prepared.
At least you will have an excuse for your slice!
Portstewart is 1.3 miles away, a seaside resort boasting a popular beach, bustling harbourside, and plenty of coastal walks to tackle outside of golf.
If you're looking to bar hop to celebrate your round and enjoy some authentic pubs, the promenade is a great shout.
Londonderry is 32.7 miles away and this city is a cracking place to explore, from the lively pub culture to the historical City Walls and famous restaurants, there's something for everybody.
The City of Derry Airport is 25.7 miles from the course, so whether you're staying near Portstewart Golf Club or in the city, it's dead simple to get there.
