Saadiyat Beach Golf Club

Gary Player's whopping championship design certainly challenges golfers. It's possibly one of the longest rounds you'll ever play from the back tee, but with four other tees available, the distance doesn't need to be so harsh.

More than 60 bunkers feature; prepare to navigate the fairways carefully, as avoiding these could make or break the round. Grab the gang and have it out on one of Arabia's finest fairways.

Course

At the 1st, two large bunkers lay on either side, with length the main challenge for those with an accurate drive. The green is generous and hazardless, so the approach should be no problem.

A lengthy par-3 features on the 3rd hole. At 214 yards from the back tee, choose your club carefully, as overhitting will see you land in the sand. Again, the green is wide, so aiming for the front half will favour a birdie chance.

The 13th features a dogleg left with the desert's characteristics shining through. Will you carry over the large sand trap to the left, or favour the right to navigate around the fairway and set up the approach?

To finish, the 18th features a dogleg right. Bunkers to the left and a lake to the right demand accuracy from the final tee box, so aim for the middle. Next, carry slightly over the water to find the green.
