Top hint for this course

Here's a tip for the 13th. Carry over the bunkers to the right for the best approach shot angle. Favour the centre of the dancefloor, as bunkers surround it.

Full Course Lowdown

Unfortunately overlooked due to its neighbour, Royal County Down, this course deserves recognition. One of, if not, the most challenging loops in the Belfast region, you're bound to leave feeling tested-even the "scratch golfer" of the group.

Set on the coastline, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views (and lose your ball) while battling the undulating links fairways.

Course

Starting with the 1st, you're teeing off with a crowd, so no pressure. You're required to clear the coastal edge and land on the open fairway. From here, the approach is simple, land on the green and you're sorted.

The start of the back nine is a straightforward par-3. Simply avoid the two bunkers on either side of the front of the green to start putting. It's lengthy, so shouldn't be underestimated. Choose your club wisely and favour accuracy.

The 15th has bunkers making it difficult to navigate, as they're placed on either side. Aim centrally from the tee box and carry over the next set of bunkers to see the hole off.

To close, the 18th's tee box overlooks the coastal edge, so don't overhit on the drive or the wind might send your shot wayward. Avoid the bunkers around the green and put the round to be with your short game.

Clubhouse

The Lounge overlooks the 1st and 18th, so you can constantly remind the gang of where your win started and ended. Sip on your favourite beverage while soaking up the Irish Sea.

The menu is packed with classics from burgers, curry, sandwiches, and scampi, so everybody in the group will be satisfied. While you enjoy the meal, count up the scorecards and prepare the forfeits for the duffer of the round.

The Location

Located on the East Coast of Northern Ireland, you're never shy of breathtaking views and unbelievable links. Ardglass has a few hotels and bars all within walking distance, so if you're staying at the course, your next adventure is always nearby.

Belfast International Airport is 43.1 miles from the course, so getting down there and teeing off is a breeze. For those looking for night time madness, staying in the Belfast city centre is a good shout. Being Irish, the success rate for nightlife in Belfast is 100%, with pubs, clubs, and that good old-fashioned Guinness.
