Thankfully we weren\u2019t playing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmonthly.com\/features\/the-game\/what-is-the-snake-golf-betting-game-67209\">snake<\/a>, or it would have been an expensive round.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Which Golf Courses Did You Play?<\/strong> \u26f3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/which-golf-did-you-play.jpg\" alt=\"Dubai Hills golf course in Dubai\" class=\"wp-image-461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/which-golf-did-you-play.jpg 620w, https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/which-golf-did-you-play-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI also played <a href=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/courses\/dubai-hills-golf-club\">Dubai Hills<\/a> and shot an 88 with some suspect hire clubs. There was nothing wrong with them, the spec just didn\u2019t suit my swing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe driver was very whippy, and it could\u2019ve done some damage to the expensive houses surrounding the course. I retired the chief early and made my way around with the irons instead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tell Us About Accommodation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI actually stayed with relatives who live in Dubai.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;But, if you plan on booking a Dubai golf trip, there are plenty of amazing options to suit all pockets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Was the Travel Between the Course and Accommodation?<\/strong> \ud83d\ude97<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDubai Hills was only 15 minutes from my accommodation in Al Safa 1, so it was nice and simple to grab a taxi and hit the course.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAl Zorah is actually not in Dubai. It\u2019s in the neighbouring emirate of Ajmen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was only 40 minutes away by car and it\u2019s actually closer than heading down to Abu Dhabi. I had an arranged transfer for this one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Is the Course Etiquette Different to England<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe etiquette is actually the exact same as the UK, so just behave as you normally would and enjoy the round respectfully.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe clubhouse was amazing, so you really wanted to dress to impress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Did You Take Your Clubs or Hire?<\/strong> \ud83c\udfcc\ufe0f\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/clubs.jpg\" alt=\"Golf clubs\" class=\"wp-image-462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/clubs.jpg 620w, https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/clubs-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI hired them, and I wouldn\u2019t again. If you\u2019re going to play an amazing course, you want to give it your best shot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile the hire clubs were in very good condition, it doesn\u2019t come close to swinging your own.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe cost of getting your clubs out to Dubai is cheaper than hiring them for 2 rounds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Did You Buy Golf Insurance?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo, I have annual travel insurance that covers golf.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut if you\u2019re booking a golf trip, it\u2019s always important to buy insurance if you don\u2019t already have cover.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Was The Weather Like?<\/strong> \ud83c\udf05<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/weather.jpg\" alt=\"Dubai golf weather\" class=\"wp-image-463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/weather.jpg 620w, https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/weather-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the weather in the UK this winter being particularly bad, it was a welcoming feeling to have shorts on and play in 25\u00b0C.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would recommend anywhere between October to April to play in the UAE, as the average daily maximum in the summer can hit the 40s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Else Is There to Do in Dubai?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/what-to-do.jpg\" alt=\"Dubai beaches\" class=\"wp-image-464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/what-to-do.jpg 620w, https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/what-to-do-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDubai is a playground; you can do almost anything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would always advise having at least one free day in your golf itinerary to head to one of the malls or head down to Jumeirah Beach Residence and Dubai\u2019s amazing beach fronts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Drinking in Dubai<\/strong> \ud83c\udf7b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/alcohol.jpg\" alt=\"Drinking in Dubai\" class=\"wp-image-465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/alcohol.jpg 620w, https:\/\/groupiagolf.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/alcohol-300x184.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJust drink responsibly, that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou hear all kinds of stories, but it&#8217;s become more acceptable over the years, and you can get a drink in most venues attached to a hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI won\u2019t lie though, drinking in Dubai is expensive.
