Pula Golf – Everything You Need to Know from Head Pro Miquel Tous

by

Pula’s picturesque resort is less than 50 miles East of Palma. If you allow about 90 minutes outside of rush hour, you’ll have plenty of time.

It’s an easy drive and you’ll take in a lot of Majorca along the way.

First Impressions…

Pula Golf Course

I met with Marina, who looks after sales and the pro shop.

As you enter, the reception and pro shop share the same space.

It actually works really well, and as a boutique hotel with only 31 rooms, it makes sense.

Plus, it’s always nice to treat yourself to new gear and a few branded balls.

I’m not joking when I say the Pula-branded Calloway 4s are the best balls I’ve ever played with, I’m sure there’s some extra science in there (they stayed pretty straight for me that day).

Dating from 1581 when it was a farm, this 6000+ square metre resort is a hidden gem.

Despite its obvious commitment to quality and professionalism, it delivers a welcoming, laid-back, rustic vibe.

How About Accommodation?

The hotel has everything you need with charming rooms and all the amenities you’d expect, enhanced further by a commitment to the resort’s local produce.

This means that the restaurant & food are a big deal here by themselves, so if you try the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

There are 4 room categories, from suites to apartments where you can bunk up with a maximum of 4 or 5 in the larger rooms.

Guests can enjoy breakfast (included) and free access to the gym during their downtime.

There’s also a spa if you really want to spoil yourself, and why not?

Practice Facilities

Pula Golf birds-eye-view of course and practice facilities

There are several stand-out attributes of PulaGolf Resort, among the top being the high-quality practice facilities, including Majorca’s first “Trackman Range” and the second in Spain.

To complement the driving range there are 2 putting greens, a pitching green, and 2 practice bunkers.

Alongside, is the very accomplished PGA tutored Pula Golf Academy and a Calloway fitting centre.

Up to 30 golfers can practice at any time. It’s easy to see why many groups sharpen their craft here.

The Swiss Golf School also use it as their go-to training base, and you can bet they wouldn’t do that unless it’s first-class.

Let GroupiaGolf Make It Simple…

For GroupiaGolf clients we can book a session at the practice facilities for you, whether that’s with a local pro or your coach.

We also offer individual payments, so booking your golf trip is an absolute breeze!

Tee times run every 9 minutes, and depending on the season, you can play from 07.30 am most days, 365 days per year.

Tournaments

  • PGA European Tour Championship Mallorca Classica
  • Mallorca Skin Games
  • Olazabal & Nadal Invitational
  • Pula’s own annual Legends Trophy & Battle of The Stars

Extra Notes

In January 2025 the hotel will close for 11 days whilst adding more rooms.
